How the Aggregate for NUST Admission Merit is Calculated?

Final merit for NUST is based on marks in the NET, FSc and Matric. Weightage formula is different for engineering and medical students. Here are the details on how NUST calculates the marks for the final merit.

NUST Engineering:
Weightage for engineering students is as follows,

  • NET 75%
  • FSc 15%
  • Matric 10%.

So, if you get 150 marks in NET, 900 in FSc and 950 in matrick the final merit would beSo you can calculate your aggregate as following:

  •  Marks obtained in NUST NET/200 * 75 = 56.25
  • Marks obtained in FSc/1100 * 15 = 12.27
  • Marks obtained in Matric/1050 * 10 = 9.04

Final aggregate of NUST admission = 77.56
If you have more than 70% aggregate than you are in a good position to get into NUST in the field of your choice.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
Use Pakprep.com to prepare for your NUST NET. Pakprep.com has mock tests for NUST that follow the exact pattern of NUST NET.

—————————————————————————————————————————-
NUST Medical:
Weightage for medical students is as follows,

  • NET 50%
  • FSc 40%
  • Matric 10%

So, if you get 150 marks in NET, 900 in FSc and 950 in matrick the final merit would beSo you can calculate your aggregate as following:

  • Marks obtained in NUST NET/200 * 50 = 37.5
  • Marks obtained in FSc/1100 * 40 = 32.72
  • Marks obtained in Matric/1050 * 10 = 9.04

Final aggregate for NUST admission = 79.26
You would need at least 80%+ aggregate to get admission into NUST medical. Merit is even higher for MBBS.

Sir I have appeared in NET-2 and i have experienced the test pattern my self.
There was no need of calculator. They had developed the question bank in such a way that there was no need of any large or difficult calculations.
But what I’m seeing here on Pakprep,is that some of the MCQs require drastic multiplication of decimals.Although it is preferable for small multiplications but sometimes the situation demands taking the square roots and even cube roots of numbers which are not perfect squares or perfect cubes.
Any suggestion or comment would be highly appreciated…

You are right. Some of our MCQs require calculations. They cater for admission tests like PIEAS where calculators are allowed. However, more than 90% of our MCQs do not require calculator.
